I bought this Bass for $200 in 1977 after selling a 1976 Rickenbacker 4001. I sold a 1964 Fender Precision to buy the Ricky (still kicking myself). Some say 70's P Basses are crap, but this one is really nice. It does have a dead spot on the 7th Fret of the G String, but many do. It has a 1.65 width at the nut and I've always used Rotosound Swing Bass Round Wounds on it. It sounds awesome through my 412 Avatar OR Ampeg cabs and GK Fusion 550 (but also sounded good through my Ampeg SVT350H before I sold it to buy the GK). You can also see me playing this bass live on some of my other uploads.
